Carole Mayne has painted in oils since she was a teenager. She studied at the college level, then found mentors who personally taught her techniques to develop her style. She has gratitude for all the outstanding teachers who have directly contributed to her education: Dy'ans, Sebastian Capella, Andrea Gaye, Ovanes Berberian, Ken Auster, Jeremy Lipking, Anita Hampton, Robert and Jeff Watts.
In the past, Carole has supported her oil painting career by retouching photographic negatives, designing/fabricating stained glass windows, and teaching art classes to adults. She currently paints for galleries, travels, and enjoys life with her husband, Chris, of 42 years, two daughters, three grandsons and a large family. Carole and Chris had a fantastic 4-week trip to India in January 2010. Look for new paintings in the coming months.
